Natural Hair: How I achieve my wash and go...

Hello ladies, hope you are having a fabulous week? Thanks everyone for the emails, comments & Facebook messages about my natural hair. My last blog post about natural hair was about the products I use on a regular basis. Today I will be talking about "how I achieve my wash and go" and please note that am not a specialist in hair care but I know what really works for my hair.

This is the result of my wash and go...
Scroll down for the step by step guide on how to achieve this result...

STEP 1.

CONDITION
Conditioner is my hair's best friend. My hair needs a lot of moisture and I use a lot of conditioner. When am in the shower, I wet my hair and apply my usual conditioner. While conditioning my hair, I massage the conditioner from root to tip.

STEP 2.

DETANGLE
The conditioner immediately makes detangling my hair less stressful. I detangle my hair by finger combing my hair and it reduces breakage. I start detangling from the back of my head to the crown/top of my head.

STEP 3.

RINSE & DRY
After detangling,  I rinse my hair completely making sure all the conditioner is out of my hair. I don't towel dry my hair, I shake my head (singing "I whip my hair back and forth" by Willow Smith) to get rid of all the water in my hair and it also helps in defining my curls.

STEP 4.

MOISTURISE
I apply my leave in conditioner (the size of a £1 coin) to my hair, massaging from root to tip. My curls are a lot more defined and I lock in the moisture shea butter. Please don't use to much product because it will leave white residue in your hair.

STEP 5.

STYLING
Styling my hair is really simple. I apply Shea Moisture Curling Gel Souffle (the size of a £1 coin) to my hair and set my curls with Eco Styler Gel. Shea Moisture Curling Gel Souffle helps control frizz and Eco Styler Gel keeps my curls in place all day.

NB.
Water is good for natural hair.
Always CO-WASH your hair at least three times a week.
Detangle your your hair with your fingers.
Don't use to much product because it will leave white residue in your hair.

So ladies that's my wash and go routine and I hope this information is useful and easy to follow. Don't forget to leave your questions and comments below...

Until next time...
xoxo
