Gaining Confidence With Your Curves

Am really enjoying the opportunity to blog... It's really lifting to share ideas...

Gaining weight does not give us the right to dress anyhow. I worry about the clothes I wear, the way people look at me because of my curves, the comments people make, the list goes on and on.  I started buying baggy clothes and black was my best colour... I never wanted to leave the comfort of my room and I was worried that people judged me just because of the way I look...

I have heard people make funny comments about my "Super hips" (that's what I call them now) comments like "fat people shit in your face"... "fat people are irresponsible"... I have seen people take photos of my bum while shopping, laughing about it and posting it online, etc....

After having my own daughter, I thought to myself "do I want my daughter to see all my self esteem issues" and the answer was NO.

The time has come for me to embrace who I am and learn to love myself and also embrace my curves and also work on my weight... I know I will always be a curvy girl (that's who I AM and I love it).

being a curvy lady does not mean buying clothes shaped like tents... It's about buying clothes that accentuate your beautiful Curves...

  3. I definitely think us women with curves need to appreciate them and love them, when we have confidence in ourselves it will take a lot more to bring us down. Looking forward to following your blog :-)

  4. Nice one girl!
Big is beautiful, so plus size babes should celebrate themselves.
Do not give anybody the power to define you.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Love yourself, enjoy being you and be comfortable with who you are.
We, plus size babes should dress to suit our body types though. We do not necessarily have to dress like our "lepa" sisters to feel accepted. A person cannot define beauty for another person, after all, one man's meat is another's poison.
