Mirror! Mirror! On the Wall

My body is a true reflection of my journey through life. It boasts about the things I've been through.Scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, blemishes, excess skin (each one has a story to tell). I wake up each day wanting to get rid of all the scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, etc.

Wait! what evidence will i have when am telling my story, the story about the excess skin I am left with after my wonderful experience of child birth or the burns i have on my arm while cooking a delicious meal for my family. I love my body and I love my journey.

When I look in the mirror, I ask myself this questions:
Who was in the mirror yesterday?
Who is in the mirror today?
Who will be in the mirror tomorrow?

Some people might picture my body as a ticking time bomb while some will embrace and appreciate my body. The vast opinions of people about my body may vary and most importantly their opinions are irrelevant, what matters to me is that i learn to appreciate what i see in the mirror and also honor it.

Lets face it my body is fat. Yes, am fat & it's a definition of my size (it's just another number). No one has the right to use the word "fat" has an insult neither should it be used to make any one feel bad about themselves.

Mirror! Mirror! On the wall, I am far more than just body.
Come on! 'Super Curvy Ladies'  appreciate and respect your body.
You fearfully and wonderfully made.

xoxo

  1. Denis Waitley once said, "To establish true self-esteem we must concentrate on our successes and forget about the failures and the negatives in our lives". The scars, burns, pains...etc are what makes you a success today...don't despise days of little begining my darling wife as in no time what you have started will become a corner stone!
