Whitby with Love...

My husband and I have decided to always take time off whenever we can. I've always loved Whitby (the beach, the vibe and above all fish and chips). So finally, we had a chance to take a quick trip to Whitby while celebrating our 4th year wedding anniversary.

Raithwaite Hall is a rural retreat set in 100 acres of breath taking countryside and well manicured Victorian gardens beside the North Yorkshire coast.
As we drove through its sweeping drive, I could not believe how a place can be so beautiful and breath taking. Raithwaite Hall promised an oasis of relaxation and it sure delivered on that.
At the top of the drive I passed some delightful cottages, where hotel guests with dogs are welcome to stay (It has spa for dogs).
The main hotel itself is a mix of traditional stone and contemporary glass, and I was ushered through its flagstone-floored reception to our room. Once replete with the fluffy robe and slippers, I prepared for the serious business of relaxation.

Raithwaite Hall is set back from the beach on the coastal road between Whitby and Sandsend, boasting beautiful, unspoilt beaches. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with carpet you sink into, giving a suitably luxurious end to a day of indulgence.

In the morning, we had the most amazing breakfast (click here for pictures). Later in the day, we went Sandsend beach, Whitby  Abbey and rounded the day with a boat cruise. Can't wait  to go back to Whitby.
